Saturday. 21.08.10.
This was the final night of my French adventure (sad face). But this gave me the perfect reason to wear my new Bowler!! God I love this hat! £9.99 from H&M its a great colour, much more fitting for the summer season than my black one!
Dress is from Topshop- love the colour palette as it looks great with a tan!! Teamed up with the old faithful Denim Shirt, and holiday espadrilles.
Friday. 20.08.10.
He he, sorry this is the only photo I got of myself in this outfit that day!! Quite a cute old church though, very French, loved the colours in the stained glass windows, although the colour hasn't come out too well here!
T-shirt is vintage from a little shop in the Custard Factory complex in Birmingham. The shorts are a pair of my favourites, I love the bright colours and the high waist. They're vintage too, from Cow in Birmingham I think. Teamed up with some over the knee socks - to protect my legs, ha, as I went Go-Karting that day!!
Thursday. 19.08.10
I wore this outfit, when I was on holiday in France. Simple, and understated but at the same time still quirky. Tied up the sheer blouse add more interest to the outfit, seeing as all the colours are quite subtle. Gold cardigan is vintage - I absolutely love it.... well of course. ITS GOLD! Leggings are American Apparel, and of course is teamed up with the old holiday faves- the Espardrilles!

Wednesday. 18.08.10.
Gone a bit American Apparel here haven't I? Not that it's a bad thing ofcourse!! The cap I found last year at Exit Festival goes perfectly with the turquoise AA playsuit, and contrast well with the Cherry red of the hoody!
I accessorised it with a gold pocket watch i put on a chain, from La Tranche Market, Vendee, France.
Tuesday 17.08.10.
Double denim - just can't get enough of it. Some could say it makes you looks like an 80's cowboy throwback but who cares, IT WORKS!
pair Double denim with bold prints, for example this skirt contrasts with the plain denim and also screams summer...
Shirt - vinatge, Bra top-shop, skirt vintage.
shoes its all about the Espadrilles!! (From a french supermarche 2 euros!)
Monday. 16.08.10.
Love LOVE L O V E this jumpsuit!!! It was from Zara and at only £19.99 is amazing, I mean you get a whole outfit for 20 quid!
Teamed up with my Sexual Birthday shoes!!! Topshop's version on the Chloe Sevigny Wedges, and a tan vintage leather belt.
Perfect Summer summed up in one outfit....
Floral - check.
Wedges -check.
Sunday. 15.08.10.
Simple but cute. Polka dot skirt is vintage sheer blouse is H&M with a lacy top underneath. Denim cropped jacket is also vintage (I think its actually a child's not cropped ha but it works for me!) teamed up with a pair of over the knee socks to keep it cute!!

NANTES. A mini Paris?
Nantes is possibly one of the cutest places I have ever been to, its kinda like a mini Paris, with stunning architecture which wouldn't be out of place in a fairytale fantasy. The place is so relaxed, none of the hustle and bustle of Paris, everyone seemed pretty chilled. I'd certainly recommend this as a city you must visit. Its pretty tiny, I literally walked around the centre in under three hours!
This is the cities cathedral, absolutely breathtaking, the sheer scale of it was amazing. especially set against the gorgeous clouds in the sky. I think I am starting to get slightly obsessed with clouds and the sky...
This was possibly the last thing I would have expected to see whilst in a city like Nantes.... an ENORMOUS anamatronic elephant giving rides to children and blowing steam out of its trunk!? Totally random but equally impressive at the same time!
Viva La FRANCE.
This is what I love about France... cute little back streets with quirky bars and bags of character, amazing food and Desperados. The Street art is also amazing, I found this piece behind the Station In Nantes.

Last week I was wearing....continued!
Sunday...
Going for casual today on a trip to a Windmill!!! Also it was a little colder... Tapered trousers are vintage... don't tell my Mom but I got them from her wardrobe! hehe...worn with a tee tucked in, 80's style!! Check out the cute red pixie boots... also from the wardrobe of Mrs Bill!! lets hope she never reads this ay!!
Saturday...
My gold boots make a maiden voyage!!! oh god I love them! they are pretty out there so kinda toned down the whole outfit by using plain pieces in a neutral white... but then adding a splash of summer colour with coral shorts. Boots are from H&M, Shorts are Topshop, lacy top is vintage and worn with denim bra underneath. Sheer blouse is worn open this time... there are so many ways to wear it!!
Friday...
This is my ABSOLUTE favourite outfit! ever!! the 70's hippy trousers are vintage and amazing!! I am in love with them a little too much I think!!! They are so floaty, but not very flattering, which is why I teamed teamed them with a denim bra- from Topshop, which also adds a spot of sexiness to the outfit!
Thursday...
Love this outfit, particularly the yellow crop top from Topshop!! Its so cute and bright and summery!! covered it up with a sheer blouse from H&M, one of my fave pieces at the moment, worn tied up to keep the idea of the crop top. Grey Acid wash denim skirt is also from H&M but about 6 years ago!! I found it out and cut it off. Recycling old clothes is one of my passtimes! sparkly gold socks worn with brown peep toes keep the outfit cute and girly!
Wednesday...
The sun was out and shining in Nottingham, so decided to brave it and get my legs out, they need to see sunlight at somepoint! Cut off Levis are vintage - a summer MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! double denim with a cropped jacket, also vintage. The fringed sandals are from Topshop and I love them! Lace croptop - I have no idea where I acquired that from, but Im guessing its vintage, with bandeau from American Apparel. Accessorized with vintage Raybans, headscarf and woven bag- with screams summer and longs to be taken to a beach!!
Tuesday....
Maxi skirts are great for summer, light and floaty, you can also look summery without shaving your legs! Ha! I got this baby from Cow vintage in Birmingham for £2.50!! what a bargain! The skirt is pretty busy so, I contrasted it with this plain black tee with lace cut away, which is also vintage. Brown leather sandals are vintage, as are the chains! Feeling extra summery with the straw boater again!

Last week I was wearing....
Monday :
I love this outfit!! It's inspired by the 80's new romantic style, a trend which just keeps coming back to haunt us!! I am a massive fan of hats and this bowler is one of my faves! I like the idea of mixing different textures and fabrics which is why I have mixed my cropped leather jacket, silk scarf and lace tights. The skirt is a staple in my wardrobe, bought it from American Apparel 2 years ago and it is still very much a key look for me!
Tuesday:Going for a more casual look today, with my amazing gold high tops.... definately my new favourite shoes...I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of these in the near future!! Im also wearing a cropped tye-dye tshirt for a splash of colour, my cropped denim jacket as it was a summery day that day. Lots of gold chains!! You can never have enough gold in my eyes!! My high waisted leggings pretty much go with anything and I adore them.
Wednesday:
Maiden voyage of my new playsuit!! I've had my eye on this summery little number for a while now, so it was straight to American Apparel when pay day arrived!! Unfortunately, the weather was a little on the cold side, so I teamed it up with my patterned knitted tights (a Crimbo present from my mom!) and my oversized vintage cardigan. The usual suspects are also there like my silk scarf, worn as a head band, gold chains and my gold dunks!
Thursday:
Showcasing my new vintage jumper, which I bought on my travels in London!! I love the colours, they are perfect for spring, light fresh pastels! It looks cute with my denim cut offs, knee high socks and sheer blouse. As always I have my influx of gold with chavvy earrings teamed up with a cute cameo and hair clip, to go with this girly look. The brown belt and sandals are vintage.
Friday:
What a gloriously sunny day for once!! Time to crack out the sunglasses!! Although I've had a few comments of my sunglasses being compared to GaGa's, which I'm not really feeling!! Except I doubt she's ever paid 60p for sunglasses from a charity shop in Brighton!! I'm wearing my new tapered cream trousers from topshop, felt a little bit like a middle ages american mom from the 80's!! Love them tho. My stripey top is from h&m, denim shirt is vintage and got my geeky little white socks and battered tan brogues... I really should get a new pair but I am way to attatched to them!!
Saturday:
This cute shirt I pinched from my mom!! well she nevers wears it now anyway so it was just taking up space in her wardrobe!! The polka dots are very 80's, which is a major theme in my wardrobe... The green top is actually a mens t-shirt from Topman, I like to wear means tshirts, I have quite a few, I find that they fit better. Wearing the scarf (again) aah i really didnt know how much I wore it untill I started to record my outfits!! maybe its time to invest in a new one!!
Sunday:
Having another casual day here!! Wearing a top I got in London.... I love being a tourist!!! It's kinda cool in a geeky way! Standard practise again.... wearing lots of gold, headscarf around my head and casual highwaisted leggings, and my AA hoody to give a little bit of colour!!
That rounds off my first week, I promise I will try to wear less off the silk scarf next week, but I can't promise there will be less gold!!

1st post aaah!! Trip to London!!
my first post.... ahh this is pretty scary I've never done a blog before but thought I'd give it a go!! If I spend as much time on it as I do on Facebook then surely it could be a success!!!
I thought I'd start off with my recent trip to London and what inspired me whilst I was there.
This is me and my new amazing leopard-print playsuit I got from h&m on Oxford Street for £8!! what an absolute bargain. I love it because it is kinda chavvy yet could also be passed off as 80's vintage (without the smell!) It goes great with my Gold chains, old favourite the Denim shirt and tan waist belt!
This is a collage of some of imagery I found that grabbed my attention whilst I was in London. The top row, and bootom right are pictures I took of Street Art around Shoreditch, I wish I knew who did these so I could credit them and look into the artists and find more of their work. The phrase in the middle picture, I thought summed up my whole time in London, as I found it quite a cold place where people aren't very friendly! However, the culture, the fashion and the surroundings more than made up for that.
The platform shoes are amazing! I love anything shiney and I thought these were brilliant. I found them in the V&A Museum and they are from a 1970's collection by Terry De Havilland. Look out for me I am actually a magpie... attracted to anything shiney or gold!!
The Dress i the middle is by of course the late Alexander McQueen, I was terribly excited to see a dresss from one of his collections closee-up, it gave me the chance to appreiciate how much intricate detail actually goes into his CAD designs. this dress, was an inspiration in itself.
My shiney new GOLD and Sparkly hightops!! For so long now I have searched for the perfect pair of Nike dunk highs!! and here they are are in all their golden glory!! I found them in a funky little sneaker shop in Camden Town called Offspring.... they have the most amazing selection of weird and wonderful trainers I would definately recommed a look and they have a website too! aah i think im actually in LOVE with them.... >
